Welcome to Art and Computers
with Mrs. Amarosa
Hope everyone is well and braving this winter. Just an update as to what your children are doing in Computers and in Art.
The Pre-K class is working with ABCmouse.com. They can also work on it at home if they have access to a computer or a tablet. User name is
Password is prek1
Kindergarten has been working on Mathletics which can be accessed from home too. I can send home their username and password if you are interested please let Ms. Drace or myself know. Abcya is another website we use and we concentrate on letters and numbers only.
1st grade is working on mathletics and Spellingcity.com. Both can be accessed from home.
2nd grade have been very busy learning all new exciting things about Microsoft Word and Google. Soon they will get a brief introduction on Microsoft Power Point.
3rd thru 7th have been busy with projects given by their teachers and myself. Power Points, Brochures, along with Mathletics are just some of their work.
8th grade have been busy planning the next Hawk Talk our School Newsletter that is written and edited by our 8th grade. Be on the lookout for the Next Hawk Talk.
I hope you love the Art work your children bring home to you. Sometimes it doesn't come home because it is being used in their classrooms or bulletin board decorations. For example, 6th grade made beautiful snowflake window clings that are adorning the window on the second floor that overlooks the gyms. If you are in the building before they come down please take a look. Just recently the 7th grade made beautiful Valentine flowers that the school sent to an assisted living facility.
I do collect some recycled material for art projects like toilet paper and paper towel rolls, baby food jars, buttons, magazines, bottle caps. etc.**
